Additional information from David Engela: Copy of the marriage certificate for his marriage to Connie "Jacomina Cornelia BOTHA" on which his age of is given as 30 on 1930, thus his year of birth should be 1899 [https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C9BY-G7MC-3?view=index&personArk=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3A6ZHT-MY2L&action=view]. By the way I see that Connie's "Jacomina Cornelia BOTHA" date of birth on her gravestone is recorded as 1907 whereas it should be 1906.
